Course Objective:

This course intends to provide a global and bivalent view on the evolution of technology and its industry in our modern history. Learner in this class should be able to: 1. Develop a solid understanding of how technology impacts business/industry and vice versa. 2. Understand why technology revolution and innovation becoming so disruptive and competitive throughout our modern history and civilization progresses. 3. Possess entrepreneurial mindset, if any to build a technology-driven venture startup business from scratch. 4. Develop hand-on experience in the data analytics of real-life projects; these experiences may render as part of investment or portfolio strategies, consulting work, or the assumption of operational roles --- which in turn might facilitate the advancement of career development.


Course Introduction: 

This course is targeting for people who intend to recognize that understanding various technologies and business sectors will give them advantages in managing their career advancement across multidisciplinary sectors. A background in science or engineering is not a prerequisite for this class.
The tentative course outline is illustrated below; however, the course is designed to be progressive with the interaction and individual apprehension in the class. The handout material is designed mainly for conceptual overviews prepared specifically for in-class discussions and team dabate.
The fun part of this course option is called "Hand-on and Do-it-Youself Project", which offers an opportunity to resolve real-life projects by using user-friendly development tools. No programming ability is required to start the project. But a spirit of continuous learning and no-non-sweat mindset is required for the success of the project chosen.
